Who Are You?

Sixty or seventy years from now, apart from a few effects and memories, all that will remain 

of your current physical earthly human identity on this planet will be just a name chiselled into a grave stone in some lonely and forgotten cemetery.  

But was that 'name' really you ? ... Who actually was that person who is buried here ?  ... 

Was their identity as a person within human society truly the human being that they actually were ? ... Where they really themselves when they were alive, ... or were they merely an actor on the stage created by their society and their culture ? 

The person that you currently exist as, and believe yourself to be, is, in fact, largely, just 

an artificial construct of the influences, conditioning, environment and socio-cultural paradigms within which you exist.

Unless, in the highly unlikely occurrence that you are a totally self-actualising, self-aware, self-defining and neuro-psychologically autonomous individual, the probability is overwhelming that you and your identity is just a collection of familiar and/or impressive sounding labels achieved for the purposes of self-validation, or given to you by your culture and society as part of its reward system for conforming, complying and exhibiting correct conformist behaviour.  

A collection of impressive but artificial and ultimately, relatively meaningless labels acquired and accumulated during your lifetime.

However, in reality, the true person that is actually the real 'you', could only become manifested if all of your labels, identities, roles, programming, conditioning and conformity, and all of your programmed behaviour patterns and response mechanisms were taken away and the original, pure uniqueness and singularity of consciousness that lies beneath is allowed to emerge and to flower, as a majestic butterfly emerges from its dowdy, ubiquitous and nondescript chrysalis.

Becoming Who You Really Are

To become who you really are, you must forge an identity completely  independently of the one, which was arbitrarily given to you at your birth by your parents and then further reinforced and imprinted within your consciousness by the society and culture into which you just happened to have been born.

You must create a new identity, and a new 'YOU', ... one that is entirely uninfluenced, unrelated, and unencumbered by all of the negative and constricting aspects of the society, culture, conditions and environment that you were born into, assimilated by, and manipulated and conditioned with from the first day that you were born.

In short, ... if you wish to become the true and real living entity 

that you could and should really be, ... 

you must be born again, ... but this time, ... born unto yourself.  

A completely new, better and totally independent being, created by, and originating from yourself, ... 

a being born, spiritually, psychologically and deterministically, ... entirely unto yourself.  

Through and entirely by your own will, of entirely your own design and creation, and completely in accordance with your own agenda, ... not the agendas of other people.  

You must be born again, but this time, not as the conventional human construct that was artificially created and produced by your parents, family, community and by your society and socio-cultural environment, but, this time as your very own pristine creation.  A pristine creation uncontaminated by all of the negative aspects experienced and connected with your childhood, upbringing and previous experiences. 

The 'YOU' that you will create will be the real 'YOU', and this new creation has all the potential to be infinitely superior to the original one. The old you.   

With my help, under my supervision and through my guidance, together we can succeed in creating a brand new and far superior person to the person that you currently exist as. 

The only question that now remains is, ...

You never asked to be brought into existence,

You did not ask for the parents who created and reared you,

You never asked to be assimilated into human society,

You never requested the identity which you were given,

You never asked for the labels which human society has allocated and given to you,

You never asked for your class or nationality, ...

You never asked for all the worries, concerns and obligations

that have been thrust upon you since you were born.

But, maybe there is now one thing that you can ask of the human race

Just to leave you alone, at least for a little while, in order that you may try to begin 

to discover the one thing that you do really want.

To discover who you actually are, and to become that unique and special being 

that is, in fact, your true and your real self.

The real you, the original you, the pure and pristine you, ...  

The You that existed even before you were born.  

The pure and pristine being that exists deep within your inner consciousness.  

The perfect entity that dwells within.

What Choices 

Were You Really Given In Life  ?

What choices did you actually have, before, and after, coming into existence  ?

You were not given many choices or options

before, during or after your conception or your birth, ... were you  ?

You never had the opportunity to choose your own identity.  

You were never given the chance to choose your own gender.  

You were not given the opportunity to choose your own parents. 

You were not even given the opportunity to choose your own name. 

Neither were you given the chance or the opportunity to choose your appearance, looks, 

ethnicity, skin colour, class, background, status, family, place of birth, country of birth, 

nationality, language, ... nor the culture, society or religion that you were born into 

and had forced upon you. 

In these matters you had no choice whatsoever.   

You were simply left out of the equation.   

All of these things were simply forced and imposed upon you, without your consent or 

permission, by the needs and the circumstances of others, 

and according to their agenda, ... not yours. 

You came into existence through the Will of others. 

You came into existence because of someone else's agenda.  

You came into existence as a result of other people's designs, ... not yours.  

You were created to satisfy the needs, urges and desires of people who 

were already in existence and to fulfil and satisfy their specific requirements, ... 

but your wishes or the things that you may have specifically wanted in life were never 

a part of their personal agenda. 

Although you know that you are a true individual with a unique personality, 

you are currently perceived and treated merely as a construct of the society which created you, within which you were born and within which you now exist.  

In fact, you are currently viewed and treated simply as a creation of the established agencies and institutions of your society.  Thus, as simply a member of human society, you completely lack a true self-individuated, self-actualised genuine inner identity. 

This perception of yourself sublimates and negates the true being that you really are.  

In real terms, and in real truth, you represent nothing more, to the human society 

within which you exist, than a collection of identifying labels, ... 

a disposable and expendable human resource, ... 

and a replaceable part of the collective body of a human population.  

To the masters, denizens and controllers of conventional human society 

you are simply a collection of labels, ... and nothing more.

But now, even after all of these labels have been attached to you, and you have been fully processed, tagged, named, labelled, classified and pigeon-holed by human society,

your mind still persists in asking itself the vital and crucial question, ...

Is this really me  ? 

Is this really who I am  ?

Who are you  ?

Deconstructing the Artificially Created Construct, ... which, ... is 

'You'

You are not your name

Your name is just a label that was given to you, quite arbitrarily, at your birth, ... 

without your consent, agreement or permission, ... 

by two people whom you did not even know and had never even met at the time.

You are not your titles 

Titles are merely labels given to you by society in order to denote your position, 

worth and usefulness, ... in, for, and to human society.

You are not your qualifications 

These are simply proof that you have received and completed an education to a satisfactory level and degree of competence, in order that you may then toil, serve, and be of some use to society.  

You are not your profession

Your profession is only an indication of your role in society, how you justify your existence, validate yourself and what you do (usually reluctantly) almost every day of your life, 

largely in order to pay your bills and taxes.

                 You are not your nationality                 

Your nationality was and is, again, merely an arbitrary chance occurrence.  A mere accident of birth corresponding to the nationality that your parents possessed at the time of your coming into existence by the process of procreation. 

You are not your family's bloodline

Your inherited genetics is again simply an arbitrary and chance accident of birth, which you neither requested, desired, deserved or worked for.

You are not your parents' property or future investment 

You are not an item of living investment, which your parents created specifically for their own benefit, primarily as a utility ultimately serving their own best interests for the future 

(as is actually secretly planned and envisaged by many parents). 

Someone primarily intended to make their life better or easier, more convenient and more pleasant, 

especially as they grow older, ... and someone to help them, keep them company and look after them when they grow old. 

Although you may love your parents, and they may be perfectly good, kind and ethical people, ... also remember that it was they who chose to create you, for their own purposes, ... to satisfy their own desires, ... and in accordance with their own specific personal agenda, ... and therefore, consequently,  you do not owe them anything, ... as you, obviously, did not request at any point in time to be conceived or created, nor did you ever ask to be born.  

Furthermore, also remember that they do not own you, ... and always remember that 

you are an independent, autonomous, self-actualising, self-defining and 

completely original being, ... in sole control of your own destiny.

So who are you  ?

Are you still under the illusion that you are, ... who and what, you are told you are  ?

Does the real you even exist yet  ?

Who Understands You ?

   Do not expect anyone in this world to ever truly understand you.  

You see, no one in this world will ever understand you, not truly, not fully, not deeply.  

This is because no one in this world really or actually wants to understand you.  

No one in this world is even willing to take the time, trouble and effort to try to truly understand you.  For everyone has their own problems, their own concerns, and their own agenda.  Not even your mother or your father, your family and relations, your best friend, not even your partner.  

Furthermore, no ordinary human being in this world even has the far-reaching psychological abilities needed to truly understand you, even if they actually wanted to do so.  

Human beings, in fact, are actually psychologically incapable of understanding you.  

It is simply not in their nature.  Most human beings have enough trouble and difficulties simply in trying to understand themselves.  So do not wait patiently for someone to come along and declare that they ardently wish to understand you.  To understand with true empathy, the deepest feelings and thoughts which dwell in you innermost mind.  If you really wish to be truly and wholeheartedly understood on the deepest and most sincere level possible, there is only one place on this Earth where you can truly find this, ... and you are on their website at this moment in time. 

 

 

Who loves you  ? 

Your parents ...

love you because you are their child.  

But if you were exactly the same person, 

with exactly the same personality, yet were someone else's child, would they still love you  ?  

Your family ... 

love you because you are a member of their family. 

 

But would they love you if you were not  ? 

Would they love you if you were exactly the same person 

but were not a member of their family  ?

Your relations ...  

love you because you are one of 

their relations

.  

But, again, would they love you if you were not  ?  

Your partner ... 

loves you because you are their partner.  

But would they love you if you were not their chosen partner  ?  

Would they love you if you were a complete stranger to them  ?  

Would they love you if they did not find you attractive  ?  

Would they still love you if they no longer found you attractive  ?

Could they love you if you were not you  ?  

Would they love you if you were someone else  ? 

Would they still love you if you suddenly underwent 

a dramatic change in your personality, behaviour or appearance  ?

  

Will they still love you as you grow older  ?

And, ... 

Would they still love you if you were to become 

hideously disfigured and severely crippled in a car accident  ?

Would they still remain with you, and love you, and care for you, and still want to be seen with you,

 

if you were in that state, until the day that you died ?

 

In other words, ... 

Is their love merely a love of your looks and appearance (all of which can, and will, change over time) 

or do they actually love the inner you, the real you, ... do they love your Soul ? 

Well, maybe they do, ... and if so, then they indeed do truly love you, ... and, if they do, then you are 

a very lucky person, to have someone who does truly love you on a deeper level. 

Also remember, that your parents do love you, ... of course, they love you dearly, ... 

as indeed you (will) also love your own children.  

However, this kind of love is a completely different type of love to Spiritual, Universal love.  

It is the love which derives from, and through, conception, birth, familiarity and intimacy.  

Through shared experience, togetherness, bonding and belonging to the same family.  

The spiritual or universal love, which transcends this form of basic, instinctual human love is a love 

which emanates not from the human emotions or instincts, ...

but instead, it emanates from the human soul. 

This is the love that loves infinitely and indefinitely, ...

It is the love that is not restricted to and reserved solely for family, friends, parents, 

partners and relatives, ... 

In fact, on the contrary, ... it is a love which is personally given to, and received by, 

someone who is not even known to you, 

even to a complete and total stranger

In fact, this form of love is far more intense, complete, meaningful and transformative 

to those involved, ... only when this is the case. 

This is an unrestricted love, which can be given to anyone, totally and unselfishly. 

It is a universal love that can exist and be shared between any two sentient beings 

who are capable of understanding this form of love.

A love that derives and has its origins not from the fickle and capricious human emotions, ... 

but from the soul.  A love so pure and true that it has the power to revive, 

cleanse, console and renew the recipient.

This is the love for all living, conscious, sentient beings, ...

This love, ... is the love of Metta, 

This is the altruistic and universal spiritual love, which Metta has for all human beings, ...

for all individuals, ... for all the people of the world, ... 

even the most sceptical, even the most cynical, ... even the most undeserving. 

Universal Unconditional Love

Who loves you simply because you are you  ? 

 

Just because you exist  ?

 

Because you have consciousness, feelings and emotions  ? 

Because you desire to be loved, and to be understood  ?

                                                     

Where on this lonely planet could you really find complete, whole, 

unconditional and pure love, ... the love that loves you, simply as you  ? 

              

And you, are the you, that is really loved,  

Loved simply because you are you,  

Loved simply for being you,

 

Whoever you may be.

This is the love which is found within the World of Metta.

What is real love  ?

 

Love is one of the most commonly used words in the English language.  

However, it is also perhaps the most misused, misunderstood and misinterpreted.  

Many things can be mistaken for real and true love.  Passion, lust, family attachment, relationship, 

dependency, blood ties, fostering, familiarity, respect, honour, attraction, obsession, infatuation,

 obligation, responsibility...  The list is almost endless.  

But what actually is real and true love  ?

 

The love that asks no questions, 

The love that demands no answers,

The love that needs no compliance, 

The love that demands no reciprocation, 

The love that asks for no rewards,

The love that asks for nothing in return.

        

The love that does not require any conditions or criteria in order to exist. 

 

The love that does not require any emotional precursor. 

The love that does not have its origins in any pre-existing, 

pre-requisite human scenario, situation or agenda.  

True  and real love does not require any of these conditions.  

True and real love is not just blind, it is also deaf, dumb and non-thinking.  

It does not perceive with the human senses, nor does it hear, speak or consider any human failings.  

It neither can see any faults, nor hear any faults nor speak any criticism, nor think any bad thoughts.  

True and real love is an entirely Spiritual, Ethereal and Superconscious phenomenon 

and as such is very rare in this world, ... in this human realm

.  

However, it is the normal and common practice within the hallowed realms of The World of Metta.
